welcome

Bodywork, movement and breath continue to help bring me back to myself over and over again. Back to being more in touch with my true nature. Back to my heart, body and spirit.

These human vessels, we call our bodies, are quite literally miracles. We all carry innate health and wisdom in our tissues that has been with us since the beginning, sometimes we just need someone to be present, to listen, to remind us that it’s there.

Through our work together, I hope to in some way help bring you back to yourself. Whether that’s through the facilitation of fascial & muscular release via touch. Providing space for you to deeply rest. Or helping you reclaim your strength (or softness) through movement.

Through my decade plus of working with people from all walks of life I truly believe that we all have the potential to feel more at home within our bodies, in our tissue, down to the bone. It would be an honor to be trusted to help you feel more at home in yours.

In love and service, Savanna

ways to work with me

massage

Our time together will be tailored to your specific needs of the day, in the current moment. Every time someone lays down on my table a whole new world opens up. My practice is greatly influenced by biodynamic massage, craniosacral therapy and intuitive/somatic movement.  We work with the form, fluid and field to find our way back towards center. Schedule through the booking portal below.

My bodywork practice has moved! Find me in the Glisan Professional Building at 2306 NE Glisan St, suite 101.

movement

I teach one on one movement sessions and group classes. In one on one sessions, we have the time and space to focus on your body’s specific wants and needs. These sessions are great if you are wanting to work through a specific injury or movement challenge. Email me at swonderwheel@gmail.com to schedule.

OR join one of my group classes! I teach small group equipment classes (4 people max, so you still get plenty of attention) out of Body Mechanics Pilates Studio off of SE Division. Check www.pilatespdx.com to find my group class schedule.

workshops

I host and cohost movement, self massage and breathwork workshops. Workshops are a great way to find community, take time to tend to yourself, and learn some fun newness along the way. Check out what I have coming up!

sweet words from sweet people

One of my favorite sayings is “to touch is to be touched.” I am beyond grateful for how this work touches my heart and soul. It does not escape me that I can only give my offerings because people are open to receiving. Big thanks and deep bows to everyone who has trusted that their bodies will be safe with me.

  • "Savanna is a magical creature and an incredibly skilled massage therapist whose most cogent superpower is her ability to hold space for others. The presence she brings to her work, and the sense of safety she creates is unparalleled. I have never felt so deeply held as I do in my sessions with her. She is highly intuitive and listens to the subtle workings of the energetic and physical body with mastery. Working with her has been an integral part of my healing process. I have worked with many different massage therapists throughout my life, and having found her I see no need to ever work with anyone else.”

    - Mandy T.

  • "Once in a while you come across a healer. Someone who intuitively understands what your body needs, to encourage release and healing. I was so fortunate to be introduced to Savanna, at a time my body needing healing, after being t-boned in a car accident. When you step into her massage studio, it’s apparent there’s a kind and welcoming energy in the room. Her presence is attentive, joyful, and empathetic. She listens to your bodies verbal and non verbal cues, always applying the appropriate amount of force to the body. I’ve never had the same massage twice from her, nor should one…because the body is always changing and healing. This is reflected in the variety of techniques she uses throughout the massage. I’ve felt trauma leave my body in quick jolts, small movements, tears, and sighs. Release is always happening when I’m on her table. My body feels relaxed, open and at peace when there."

    - Alia R.

  • "I wanted to take a minute to thank you for all you have done to help me over the last 4+ years. I am in such a better place now than I was when I first came to the studio and that is in large part thanks to you.I wanted to use this as an opportunity to make sure you understand how much you have helped me and how much I value you as an instructor. I now realize how extremely grateful I am for the dedication, patience, and knowledge you have shown me over the years. Its honestly the reason that I keep coming back.....Life is busy and despite knowing how good it is for me short and long term, it's easy to let things like this slide but the fact that I have continued to make this practice a priority is largely a testament to you and the simple fact the I still value and enjoy these classes after all these years..."

    - Jason D.

  • "Savanna is a gifted massage therapist and a pilates and yoga teacher. Savanna is a true healer, a kind soul, and a radiant being of love. She is also the holder of one of my most favorite laughs - I believe that she is sunshine embodied! And her gift with touch is unparalleled, I can personally attest."

    - Liz M.

  • "Thank you so much, Savanna! Bummed to no longer be in the same town. My experience working with you has profoundly changed the way I relate to my body. For that, I will always be grateful! I will miss your humor in particular! Thank you for all of your great teaching."

    - Benjamin M.

  • "Savanna’s classes are a perfect mix of familiar exercises and new challenges. She gets to know each student’s strengths and needs and seamlessly helps students adapt and adjust to maximize each sequence. After six years of weekly Pilates sessions with Savanna, I still look forward to every one! Her classes always make me feel stronger, taller, and more centered."

    - Sonja G.

  • "I’m picky about the people who work on me and since seeing Savanna she is the only massage therapist I’ll work with these days :)"

    - Jo M.

  • "Recently, Savanna and I decided to include craniosacral therapy in my massage sessions due to illness and the depletion that has accompanied it. I felt a deep shift in my nervous system during and after our first session. I believe this work in her capable and caring hands will continue to support me and guide me in releasing emotional and physical stress."

    - Maureen M.

  • "In addition to building strength and flexibility, I have learned so much about listening to my body and how to manage my muscle aches and pains through my sessions. I have gained tremendous insights specific to resolving my issues through private instruction with Savanna."

    - Linda F.

  • “I'm so lucky to have found Pilates. I started as part of the recovery process after having had major surgery. Savanna Wonderwheel has simply improved the quality of my life beyond my highest expectations.”
